Hillary vs Elizabeth

I think the Edwards campaign should let Elizabeth go nuclear on Hillary

Because she's a respected woman among democratic women , she's probably the only person that could get away with attacking Hillary....

The fact that she's not running helps and her attacks hasn't hurt Edwards , so they should keep attacking her by using Elizabeth if they're smart.

The Clinton campaign will never respond forcefully to her attacks because they're too afraid Hillary will not look too presidential if she's engaged in a cat fight with another woman who's also well liked in the democratic party....Hillary is trying to sway women voters , so a fight with another woman wont look good for her.

I've also noticed that the only time John gets some media attention is whenever Elizabeth attacks Hillary , and because john gets little media attention , this is good for him..It lets people know that John is still running.

Elizabeth should  question Hillary's decision of staying with a womanizer like Bill Clinton and criticize Hillary for being a poor role model for young women.

'I would not want my daughter to accept the cheating habits of her husband..I woulds advise her to look for another man that's not a big dog'<----this should be a devastating blow on Hillary that will definitely force her to get in the ring with Elizabeth.

Should Elizabeth try to draw Hillary into the boxing ring?

Sure. Why not? Edwards political career is finished. He might as well go out with a bang.

Unless, of course, he gives a s--t about seeing a Democrat elected in 2008.

Re: Hillary vs Elizabeth (2.00 / 2)

Another nonsense diary.  So, Edwards should forfeit any chance (be it slim) at the nomination so Obama benefits?  Leaving aside for a moment that people would just consider the talk desperate and way beyond the pale, why don't you ask Michelle Obama to go all dirty and nuclear?

Oh Is that it? (2.00 / 1)

This is an Obama supporter?  In that case I think he should post a tip jar so that all the Edwards people can thank him.

It is either this diary is some sort of underhand way to knock Edwards out of contention to benefit Obama or its just the most bizarre advice to ever give , no way are you going to be hired as a strategist.

Re: Hillary vs Elizabeth (none / 0)

This is a rabid Obama supporter who wants to play some game here. It's a cheap trick to help Obama get some miles. Edwards is not that stupid especially if he is really gaining some momentum against Obama these days.

Hillary: We will finally have a president who doesn't mind pulling over and asking for directions. Am I right, ladies?

Re: Hillary vs Elizabeth (2.00 / 2)

Loudmouth Elizabeth Edwards might have been respected once but that has dried up considerably since she started her tacky rants on everyone- plus she is married to the world's biggest hypocrite and seems to think that's okay- who can respect that?  But yes, please, have her keep opening her big mouth- it drives people from her hypocrite husband's campaign every time.

Not very subtle there, champ.  The Clinton people are much better at this Machiavellian BS.

Your personal feelings are coloring your judgement (2.00 / 2)

You don't like Hillary Clinton and want to see her attacked.  Thats fine but it wouldn't be wise for the Edwards campaign to go down that road.

I say this for a couple of reasons.

One, they have gone down that road before, with comments made by Elizabeth and it didn't help them.  In fact some may argue it hurt them.

Secondly, the Edwards campaign got off track and started to slide backwards earlier this summer when Elizabeth was out there making her remarks about Hillary, Coulter, etc.  She became more of the focus of the campaign than John at one point.

Now the campaign seems to be back on track.  Edwards has refocused his message and starting to get the union endorsements that everyone assumed would come.  His campaign is probably functioning better now than it has all year.  Why get off message and take the focus off John again?

That is not to say that he shouldn't be taking Clinton on.  He is doing that with his stance on the war, corporate America, and poverty.  But I think having his wife go on the attack and in a personal way would be dumb.

Re: Hillary vs Elizabeth (none / 0)

Without a doubt the stupidest advice anyone could give to the Edwards campaign. Since you are looking for a catfight at least have the courage to request that your candidate's wife start the fight.

Dumb, dumber and dumbest advice all wrapped up into one.

Lesson learned anyone? (none / 0)

You can't have a movement by simply saying that you have a movement.  It has to actually exist and be real.   Furthermore you can't start a movement like kick starting a motor bike.  Movements grow on their own.

I think the Obama campaign was misguided in trying to conjur up the whole movement nonsense.  It made him look lame after a while.  I mean after a while people caught on --- it was just empty campaign talk.  That cheapened his brand.

Uh, I don't think Elizabeth Edwards could hurt her husband's campaign any more than she already has.  But hey Elizabeth, whatever floats your boat.

The above is both sad and hilarious.
